Can I improve ?

I'm currently in 4th place but looking to improve my team. I have two concerns I only have speed at the SS position and not much at OF. Also I have good pitching but Webb is becoming more of a bum.

How can I improve ?

Hmmm, your OF needs some work - is there anyone who needs a closer or SS that might be able to give you an OF with a good mix of speed/power? (Hunter,Sizemore, maybe snag Pierre) You've got 2 good shortstops, so someone might be weak there.

I would drop Webb, and as the other poster mentioned try to trade one of your SS for an OF with speed. Also try to get Weeks in your lineup more as he will steal some bases and has power. I would trade Biggio if you can get any value for him.

Thats a pretty solid team...I'd trade an SS for a good OF to take over for huff or mench...Other than that pretty solid....Im not real high on Duke though.

i would look to unload one of your ss. you should try to package him with one of your closers for a better outfielder. i would also play weeks instead of biggio.

Im against dropping Webb....... its been a rocky month for a few of the middle tier pitchers.... colon, AJ, Haren all come to mind.

I would consider a trade to see if you could land one of those 3, in addition to looking for help in OF. See if Huff or Furcal commands any value,

You shouldn't be carrying 4 closers if you are weak in those positions. I'd say Walker is the odd man out if there is any interesting SP adds on the market.

You have a lot of tradeable pieces. Biggio, Furcal, and Walker should all have some value to someone who is weak in those areas. You could also try to sell high on the performance of Duke to this point. I don't see him being a stud for the rest of the season.

You may be able to package an OF with some of the pieces above to someone weak in those areas to upgrade in your OF, someone who will steal some bags.
