Want to be in the Big Show?

Postby Tavish » Wed Jul 20, 2005 6:06 pm

If so you are out of luck, but how about being in the Northern League?

OK, well you are still out of luck. But the Northern League KC T-Bones were thinking about giving a couple lucky MVP 2005 game players a chance to really make a difference!

This idea was later scrapped, but figured it might intrigue some of you.

that is definitely a strange way to spark some interests with the local fans,,, they might want to try 50 cents beer night,,, as that is what my local minor league team does on thursday nights...... :-)

I read about that in SI.

The KC T-bones are the former Duluth-Superior Dukes (R.I.P.) who were my hometown team.

I didn't really like the idea because it would take away the integrity of the game. There is nothing you can do about those innings and the team losing would start off in the hole. That is pretty unfair I think.

Who does that, Mudcats or Bulls? I never heard about it.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
