This is from Rotoworld:
Scott Podsednik was held out of the starting lineup today for the second time in five days.
Podsednik is batting .321 this month, but he's still getting more than his share of days off, as well he should be. Despite his All-Star status, he's at least as expendable as Aaron Rowand and Jermaine Dye when manager Ozzie Guillen wants Carl Everett to play.
No mention of any injury, just that the White Sox have a lot of OF options.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

With Scott Podsednik and Joe Crede, bothered since early July by a pair of herniated discs, out of the lineup, Pablo Ozuna started at third and batted leadoff for Chicago. Everett played left and batted fifth. Podsednik pinch hit for Ozuna in the eighth, and Crede played third in the ninth.
Hopefully Pods will be "back" to normal soon.
Further, if anyone understands the use of commas this will explain to you why Pods is not hurt.
Stretch! Stretch!

In other words, he's not that good. If he were the spectacular player that some think he is, the Sox would have to play him every day.
