Is this kid for real? Despite the odd blotch he's become virtualy unhittable since his injury, and the strikeouts seem to rise with every outing. Are we looking at this years Ollie Perez? Or do you see a few rough outings for him down the stretch?

I think he's for real. He's done this all year, really. Just hasn't gotten any wins to show for it.

I agree. He has pitched well all year. His better games are his home starts. I keep picking him up and dropping him, but will hold onto him now for spot starting.

Definitely for real. He's always had great stuff and solid command of his breaking pitches. He's just putting it together this year. The change of scenery might be all he needed. But he should continue to be solid, so long as he doesn't get hurt like last year.

I picked him up early in the year and was devestated when he got hurt because he looked so good before the injury and missed a lot of starts while the team was hot. I held him on the DL the whole time and now it's paying off.
Unfortuntely when I set my lineup for last night's games I was so drunk I didn't realize his start was at home against colorado rather than at Coors so I benched him. Great move

I just picked him up for Mussina last week. I can't believe a gem like him was still available at this point in the season, but I guess I can thank the lack of run support for that. He was just what the doctor ordered last night for my struggling rotation. I love him!

Mussina wouldn't have been bad for your rotation last night, either.

I got both Bedard and Patterson before the season started and held onto them when they got injured. I hope it pays off.
