This guy has been awful lately. Anyone know if his leash is short now? Would Duaner Sanchez be the next in line?

I'd imagine the Dodgers trying to acquire another player to fill the role, such as Batista, Guardado, Baez, or any of the other closers mentioned in trade talks as we approach the deadline. With the West as open as it is, I expect LA to be buyers to try and catch up and snag the Wild Card.

The Dodgers are out of contention at this point IMO. I don't think they will trade for a closer, with Gagne coming back next year. I think they will stick with Braz a couple more outings but if he doesn't improve don't be suprised to be a CBC.. :-°

They should get Mesa....they're not out of it yet although it's getting to that point.

Mesa has been on the record about not going to the West.

I think the Dodgers are sellers not buyers at this point. Too many wholes to fill.

I think we're going to see a CBC with not a lot of fantasy value in any of them.

Agreed. I don't think it makes sense to overpay for a closer now with Gagne coming back next year and them not playing well this year.

Even with the Pads playing less than stellar lately (5-5 their last 10 games) 8.5 games a whole lot to make up. I think they should just wait the year out and give another guy some opps.

Do we even know if Gagne will be back next season? Isn't he supposed to miss the first part of the season or did I hear that wrong?

His surgery was sucessful and he will be ready in time for Spring Training. ;-D
