Red sox just traded for Tony Grafanino (2b-KC). With him and Cora backing Bellhorn, I have hard time believing Theo wants Pedoria in the show this year.
One of Boston's papers reported that the Sox were considering calling him up to take Bellhorn's spot but Pedroia has a sore wrist, so they opted for Youk instead (a better decision from a real life perspective). I think the Sox move Hanley at the deadline in a Wagner deal, and Pedroia has the 2B job to lose heading into spring training.
3 way deal with the Phillies and someone else or is Hanley gonna play CF for Philly. They just signed Rollins to a long term deal and they have Utley playing well at second.

The Phillies fans I talk to are under the impression that Hanley is athletic enough to play 3B.
But, we'll see. The way things are going, the Phillies are going to be able to hardball the Red Sox and maybe get Ramirez and Shoppach.
i watched dpedroia in portland until he got called up to pawtucket...he is scrappy BUT... 4.5 seconds to 1B is s-l-o-w..and he is freddy patek short in stature...he will NOT be a fulltime starting 2bman in the majors
