Windows games

Postby BigMusky » Tue Jul 19, 2005 5:43 pm

I got my PC back from the IT department and they took off hearts/mindsweeper/etc. How do I get these back? Can I just copy the directory off another computer? I think mine is the only one without the games because no one else in my office got theirs taken away. Maybe because I had such high scores they know I waste too much time on them...oh well.

You should be able to. I assume it's XP? I've done it with older OSs (98, 2000, ME).

they were jealous of your high scores, that must be it.

but seriously, i see no reason why you shouldn't be able to get them back pretty easily. of course i'm no expert...

Go to Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup
Calculating Disk Cleanup may take a minute depending on the last time you did it.
Once the Disk Cleanup window appears, click the "More Options" tab on top.
Click the "Clean Up" button under the section entitled "Windows Components."
Double click on "Accessories and Utilities."
Double click on "Games."
Click the box next to each game you want on your computer.
Click OK until you're back to the "Windows Components" page.
Click Next.
The games should be back on the computer.
