Thoghts on Beckett?

He's on the DL right now and is a FA. Should I pick him up? I haven't seen too much about the kid but heard great things. Do you see him as a effective starter later down the season?

i have actually held on to him through this injury (a 17 team league mind you.) but he will give you a decent ERA(give or take 4) a mediocore WHIP(1.40 about) but he will defineatly through the beautiful whiffs. with shilling on the DL i will defineatly need the K's. unfortuneatly he wont win a ton but he will obviously win some. i like him and would pick him up if i were you.

Depends on your league, of course, but I'm in a 10 team MLB league, and I have him on my bench. 8 team league would make it debatable, but he's definitely got stud potential. Not too many guys on the wire that you can say that about.

Beckett is young, and throws heat. He is definitely a keeper, as his future potential is enormous

He is good for k's and not much else. He also will remain an injury risk for the rest of the season
