Before I give my roster, I started the year out bad. Really bad. Guys hurt and underperforming. Lately my team has been coming around. I'm now in 6th out of 8, and closing some of the gaps fairly quickly. I'm just looking for any thoughts on where I should look to improve, or if I should just sit back and wait.

My current standings -
R - 6th (only 16 out of 3rd)
HR - tied for 7th (20 out of 1st, 11 out of 3rd)
RBI - 6th (31 out of 2nd - made up like 30 RBIs over the past month)
SB - 4th (and closing fast)
K - 7th (hard to strategize this category)
AVG - tied for 4th (and closing fast)
W - 5th
L - 6th
Saves - 6th (and treading water, I've made a couple deals where I gave up closers, but no one will make a trade to give one back up, I'm not going to catch anyone, but no one is going to catch me, so a guy like Wagner would be a good trading chip to help me improve somewhere else)
K - 1st
ERA - 8th (Every time this gets back down, someone blows up again)
WHIP - tied for 4th
Anyone have any thoughts as to how or where I should try to improve. I will help anyone back. Thanks.
You need to get rid of the guys sitting on your bench. Trade them for decent pitchers. Go for middle releivers that can be had cheap to help your ERA and WHIP. No reason you should have Mench on your bench. Use him or trade him. You could also trade Tex for someone really sweet pitching wise. Go Tex for Santana and a third teir pitcher (Beckett maybe since he's coming back).
If I were you I would dump Lowell(never started to warm), Sizemore(cooling rapidly) than maybe Berk(health). Take your pick on two and get on the wire for some Pitching.
Z Duke, Zambrano (mets), Blanton, Douglass are worthy starters and may be available. There are lots of relievers on the hot seat right now so keep posted on happenings. Mesa may get traded. Boston is stabbing for a reliever. thanks for ur response.
Yeah Lowell and Sizemore are both worthy drops. Sizemore is buried in my OF anyway, and after I traded for Huff and ARam I didn't really need Lowell anymore. I could use a backup MI. However, with our (rather low) IP limit, I can't just grab a bunch of SP, it just doesn't work. I've already probably got too many. I could get another MR or two, and I pretty much have my pick (except for a few failed closers and Crain) if that's a way I should think about going.
i think it might be time to say goodbye to chris young. if you're getting up near your ip limit, he's a good candidate to go. he's been pretty ordinary (or bad) for the past month to 6 weeks or so. maybe package him in with one of your extra of's -- even if just to open up a roster spot for a useful middle reliever.
thanks for mine.

Trade Beltran for a SP while he still has great value...i don't see him heating up at all this year. Any was you can get Santana? I think he's gonna have a 2nd half just like last year. I'd unload Berkman also...since you have Tex at first and Thome on the DL.
