im the commish of a 12 team 5x5 H2H yahoo leauge, and it seems that there are only about 5 teams that are actually still active.
were discussing what to do to make the league more fun, and weve thought about having a draft from the players of the inactive teams, or somthing. But that would be unfair to the teams that dont play those teams again, becuase the peoplew ho do would get a auto 10-0 win...
is there anything i can do to take control of the other teams and do trades with them, or give them to other people or somthing?

that is one possibility.
another is to provide some incentive to the owners next year (ie. money league).
you can go to a H2H league, which, though some (including me) don't like do format, does provide more immediate gratification
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

You could try a bidding system on the message board where if a manager wanted a player from an inactive team, they can post on the message board. Then all of the other managers have the opportunity to one-up the offer, if they're interested in acquiring the same player.
It can get interesting because, like in an auction, you may want to 'block' a move by bidding higher than someone, but if no one else ups your bid, you're stuck with the trade.
You can carry out the trades through the commissioner functions.
Everyone needs to be fair and impartial to a certain extent. A voting system (like vetos) could be established as to who has the better offer.
the league consists of guys from a forum, so its not just like a public league....and due to somethings they couldnt control... (an owner actually passed away suddenly) some of the teams have gone in active....
if thought about doing an auction type thing...
thanks for the input, if anyone else has some advice, please reply

Or try a combination H2H-roto league with separate payouts for record and overall roto points. If someone gets smoked in the roto categories with no hope of catching up, they still have incentive to put together a good lineup each week for an improved record.

its already an H2H league.....
how do you do a money league with yahoo, when you dont even persoanlly know all the guys in the league? because all these guys are from a forum that we all post on, and we dont all live near each other.
