I thumbed through that book at the bookstore when I was looking for something for school (:-P) and it seemed pretty cool. The
Neyer James Guide to Pitchers is pretty sweet as well.

When you look at a guys stats on MLB.com it gives you the Stats of the team for that year. It's not a roster but it is the stats of players who played for each given team for the year you select.
