the deal is likely to happen, maybe today. don't care about burnett's value, looks like it will stay the same, more wins, but higher ratios.

wondering if julio, who is included in teh deal will likely close?

thanks

Julio I guess would be in the running but he is terrible...

There are like 5 games this season where he's been owned for like 4 er's an inning
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

I think the Marlins stick with Jones. If it ain't broke, why fix it? They also have Mota waiting in the wings. I think Julio will be a nice middle reliever if he goes.

if this trade goes through today or tomorrow will kill Burnetts 2 start value this week, i am putting him on bench myself. so undoubtedly he will K 15 in his one AL start.

Where would Mike Lowell fit in with the O's?

3B, 1B, DH...Mora can play OF pretty easily. They'd probably ship a bat somewhere for more help though is my guess (Gibbons maybe?).

I would say that Julio is not at all in the closer mix for the Marlins.

They wouldn't need to trade a stick cause Bigbie goes and Gibbons is alot better than Lowell this year !+)

Jones has been doing great for Marlins, but i wouldn't be surprised to see Julio get a shot if Jones hits a rough patch. The guy is talented, and despite his ERA, he's still got a WHIP hovering around 1.20. he's closed before and disn't shrink to the task.
