I've heard his name mentioned a few times lately. Anyone have any sources or news about Toronto's desire to move this guy? I'd love to move him for something before he becomes a setup guy somewhere and I have to outright drop him.

I had originally said no, and I still think the Jays would have to be bowled over by an offer to do so.

i was following one of the chats on espn.com earlier and i dont remember which one it was (olney or stark?) said that the jays arent too interested in moving him or guys like lilly. the jays are looking to move guys like orlando hudson and position themselves for next year when they expect to increase the payroll. they wont be in a good position for next year if they have to go out and find a new closer.

Thanks. I'm also bored at work. I must've been out of that chat before the Batista thing came up.

The Blue Jays have several problems at the moment, but I don't see how moving Batista could help solve any of them. If anything, it would just help create another problem. I can imagine the Blue Jays wanting to ship out an infielder, but I can't imagine they would ship out Batista.
