During the Yankee game the Yankee anouncer quoted Francona saying that "Schilling would be the closer" That that would not upset the roles his other relievers have. Timlin as set up.

It wasn't old news Saturday afternoon. Before Sat. morning Francona had said he would use Embree, Timlin, or Schilling to close, depending on the game situation. Before the game he said Timlin and Embree would only be used as set-up in all game situations.

I think Timlin will be closing in 2 weeks, unless there is some deal made before the trading deadline. If no deal is made, I think Timlin well show he is a more effective closer that Fouke and he will close for the last two months. In leagues where Farnworth was still available on Saturday afternoon, I didn't drop Timlin figuring that his 8 weeks closing was worth more than Fransworth's 10 weeks of closing.

A rock would be a more effective closer than Foulke had been in 05.
Schilling as closer is basically a near total waste of a pick in fantasy. Translation...he can't start and all those stuck with Schilling are toast.
