Jul 15 Despite soreness and fatigue in his surgically repaired left shoulder, Rolen says he wants to be in the lineup everyday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. "I'm going to do everything I can to be in the lineup everyday," Rolen said. "I'm going to look at the lineup. If I'm in there, I'm going to go play as hard as I can and do the best I can."
Recommendation: His shoulder injury seems to be sapping his power, as he hasn't gone deep in 20 games since returning from the DL.
Is he even worth keeping?

I'd try dealing him -- because he's Scott Rolen -- but IMO after seeing him in 3-4 games since he's returned, I'd dump him w/o hesitation if you've got another good 3B -- if you can't make a deal.

I wonder why they are letting him play. They have a huge lead in the Central. They should let him heal.

Keeping him sharp for the stretch run is the only reason I can come up with.
