I hate the Reds. I hate their GM, he's terrible. I hate their coaching staff because they name a closer and not only dont stick with Belisle, they havent even given him a chance. Nice job David Weathers, 4 saves in 6 chances. You really showed everyone how dominating you can be tonight. I guess I am just bitter about the whole situation. I hope Milton keeps throwing as well as an $8 million pitcher should. Screw you, Reds.

He brought Belisle in for the most important part of the game, then Dunn hit a HR, blew the lead wide open and he used weathers to finish it. My guess is, if the lead had stayed 1 Belisle would have finished the game.

I've said this on MANY occassions about the Reds new manager and it bears repeating...
He does NOT manage with fantasy owners in mind. He doesn't even manage to make his players feel better about their 'roles' on the team. He manages in the way that he thinks gives him the best chance to win games.
baseballnewb is exactly right and I'd imagine that we would have seen a 2ip save from Belisle had Dunn not hit the hr. And the only way Weathers would give up a '2 run dong to Dunn' would be in batting practice seeing as how they're on the same team (though maybe not for long ).
In any case, going from a one-run lead to a three-run lead is hardly blowing the game open. Not to the degree you would pull a pitcher you believe is your best option to prevent the kind of comeback Weathers nearly allowed.
well tonight Belisle came in for the 7th, gave up the go ahead run and merker ended up in there in the 9th with weathers coming in after helton's single to try to close it out but it looks like he may blow it, this situation is just a mess for fantasy owners.
