He's on the 15-day DL retroactive to July 10th with the same injury as earlier this year, I'm reading. Any news on this, how long he may be out, if Farnsworth will be closing in Detroit, etc.??

Tigers placed RHP Troy Percival on the 15-day disabled list with a partial tear of the right flexor pronator muscle mass.
What a waste of $12 million. Percival was sidelined May 8 through June 4 with the same injury. The Tigers have yet to indicate how much time they think he'll miss this time. Surgery might become a possibility, so the Tigers could spend the rest of the year with Kyle Farnsworth closing.

Updating a previous item, The Detroit News' Tom Gage reports Detroit Tigers CL Troy Percival (forearm) could miss another month due to torn muscles in his right forearm. It is the same injury which sidelined him earlier this season.

My guess is that he may be shut-down for the season. It is the same injury and when it is the arm, teams tend to play it cautiously. I had Percival and instantly picked up Farnsworth who has been pitching really well lately.

I had to drop percival to be able to fit farns on my squad so im hoping i dont have to flip flop if percival does come back....as i did earlier w/ urbina and percival-

As much as I hate to see anyone injured, especially a Tiger as classy as Percy, this is for the best fantasy-wise and in real life. Farnsworth, who is admittedly untested but having a great year, is awesome when his stuff is on. I heard there's a legit chance Percy will call it a season and perhaps even a career. It would be sad if he couldn't go out on his own terms, but it happens. Hold on to Farnsworth, my guess is he closes the entire 2nd half.
Go Tigers!

Percy saw a doctor on Monday...any word on whether he'll go under the knife/be out for the season? If so, I'd like to know so I can go ahead and drop him.
