Iguana wrote:That is correct. He is claiming that Matt Morris is the 4th best STARTING pitcher on the cards, meaning he thinks Carpenter, Mulder and either Suppan or Marquis are better. But I smell b------- because he's been trying to trade for Morris, and Marquis and Suppan are both sitting on the waiver wire.

Next time smell something else. We've got 13 year olds on the boards here, and Rule #1 is No swearin'.

Just to make your friend feel a little better when he sees this thread, I'll say I agree with all his ridiculous statements.

----

OK I can't really just let it go like that.

1) M. Young, Jeter, just for starters.

2) Doubtful

3) No way

4) Morris is better than both Suppan and Marquis... so wrong.

Your friend is clearly not the sharpest tool in the barn. :-?

Why quote the person and show the word again and also take away the ability to change it?

By showing the word again, aren't you making it worse?

And it's Rule #2 ;-)

Obviously, no to all 4.

Iguana wrote:A member of my league is running his mouth and made the following statements. He said he would retract them if the majority here ruled against him. Please respond to all points as to whether you agree or not.

1. Orlando Cabrera is the second best SS in the AL behind Tejada.
Agree yes or no? If no, how many are better? (I cited Jeter, M.Young, C.Guillen, C.Figgins, B.Crosby and E.Renteria)

yeaaaaaaaaa, in my softball league maybe
2. Kris Benson is better than Matt Morris (for the 2nd half of this year)
Agree yes/no?
YES! Big second half comming from the Mets... you heard it here first

3. "I would rather have Juan Encarnacion than Ken Griffey Jr."
Agree yes or no?

The argument can be made about Juniors injury history..... hence giving Juan a "better" second half

4. Matt Morris is the 4th best starting pitcher on his team
Agree yes or no?

YES!!! Right behind <insert name> <insert name> <insert name> once you tell us what his staff is :-D
If you found my advice helpful, please help me

He deserves to sit in timeout just for suggesting the first one.
