A member of my league is running his mouth and made the following statements. He said he would retract them if the majority here ruled against him. Please respond to all points as to whether you agree or not.

1. Orlando Cabrera is the second best SS in the AL behind Tejada.
Agree yes or no? If no, how many are better? (I cited Jeter, M.Young, C.Guillen, C.Figgins, B.Crosby and E.Renteria)

2. Kris Benson is better than Matt Morris (for the 2nd half of this year)
Agree yes/no?

3. "I would rather have Juan Encarnacion than Ken Griffey Jr."
Agree yes or no?

4. Matt Morris is the 4th best starting pitcher on his team
Agree yes or no?

1. Orlando Cabrera might be the second best SS on the Angels. He is not, however, even close to being the second best in the AL.

2. I agree that Benson will outpitch Morris in the second half.

3. Can I choose neither? But I'll take Griffey if I can't.

4. We don't know who the other pitchers on his staff are. It makes it hard to judge.

Michael Young is 10x better than O-Cab ... it's seriously not even close.

Could be if Morris goes down with an injury, but Morris gets the nod in wins and K's for sure. ERA and WHIP could get close though.

Agree yes or no?

Again, a Ken Griffey Jr. on the DL does no good. If healthy, he'll definitely put up better numbers than Encarnacion.



4. Matt Morris is the 4th best starting pitcher on his team

yah, and the flat earthers have a real case. the special edition of the OC is a fun guy to have in your clubhouse, but pffftttt on his performance this year.

argument here, and i'll say agree because i think it's close. i think vegas has an annual over/under on how many games griffey & kevin brown will combine to be active for. (or at least, they should). tracking those two porcelain players... good times, good times.

That is correct. He is claiming that Matt Morris is the 4th best STARTING pitcher on the cards, meaning he thinks Carpenter, Mulder and either Suppan or Marquis are better. But I smell bull because he's been trying to trade for Morris, and Marquis and Suppan are both sitting on the waiver wire.
