I don't care if he's making $100 million a year, why would they use him to close if he keeps losing games. Falling out of playoff contention to the Yanks will cost them much more than 7.5

I think some experts said that his velocity was down a couple mph which was making his out pitch very hittable in comparasion to previous years. That might have been the knee. If he gets his speed up a few mph from being healthier he might be the Foulke of old for the last month or so.

Rotoworld:
Latest News Aug. 3, 2005 - 12:45 pm et
Manager Terry Francona on WEEI radio confirmed that Keith Foulke will be immediately inserted back into the closer role when he comes off the DL.
With Curt Schilling itching to get back into the rotation this makes sense. Foulke will soon throw off a mound, then throw BP, then a simulated game and finally a short rehab stint(although Foulke has said he won't go on a rehab stint). The target is still the third week of August.

His speed could be 100 mph but if he can't spot his pitches he will just continue his rough ways. I think he is toast this year.

His home most likely. Then his locker at Fenway Park.
