Where will Foulke return when he gets back?

Any chances of him being a closer again? He's been pretty terrible...
If you can help:

When Foulke returns, if he pitches like he did the first half of this year, he will not likely get the job back. If he pitches like he has the past five years or so, he will get it back.

I think they'll give him a shot. But, will he keep it? Ay, that's the question. Maybe its time to revisit the question of "What will the Sox do before the trading deadline, if anything. And what do you recommend?"
Me, I think they will get someone, and I don't think they should.

I think he'll return to closer then if he sucks again, then we have a problem. Hopefully he comes back before the trading deadline so they know what they need.

Well, the non-waiver deadline is in 2 1/2 weeks. Foulke won't be back before then.

I'll put it this way.

If Eddie Guardado becomes a Red Sock in the next few weeks, Foulke is a set-up man.

If they don't deal for a closer, Kieth will get the job back when he returns.

If Kieth sucks in that opportunity, Timlin will take over.

Schilling will not remain in the bullpen all year, IMO. They will either deal for another closer and not even give Foulke a chance, or give it to him, and hope he does well, otherwise give it to Timlin or Arroyo.

i really think foulke will be the closer whenever he gets back regardless of who theo brings in. his career numbers are too good to not think he will regain his old form

"Where will Foulke return when he gets back?"

Have to love a specific question :-D

Will Foulke's therapy be therapeutic?
Will Foulke be on the mound when he's pitching?
Will Foulke's slider slide?

;-D

They ought to see what the Phillies want for Wagner. Have him close the rest of the year and let Foulke do it again next year.
