Barton or Hermida

Hermida pretty easily. As most mentioned, he is closer and he will be a 5 category threat. His plate discipline is pretty amazing although Barton's been darn good himself.

if you're thinking long term I would say Barton...if you're thinking through 2007 I would say Hermida. Both are quality choices though...

Hermida any day of the week. He is a better hitter with one of the best EYEs in the minors. That is what you look for to see who will truly be a big player. He walks so much and hits to all fields with power and steals, come on. Barton is good dont get me wrong, but there is really no question here. Besides if you go with Barton you are banking on him having to be traded (due to Erstad and Kotchman), meaning he wont be hitting in the nasty Angels lineup anymore. The Marlins are on the rise, go with Hermida.
