Eaton may pitch out of the bullpen since he may not be able to throw curveballs again this season because of a strained tendon in his right middle finger, the North County Times reports. Manager Bruce Bochy told the paper that Eaton is about a month away from returning to the mound.

Eaton threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and reported no pain, but it's not known when he may return. If he's going to the bullpen, he could be activated earlier and skip a minor league rehab assignment. Either way, it looks like this injury is going to severly limit his fantasy value the rest of the season.

Some actual encouraging news was released of late saying that he was able to throw some breaking balls and felt fine yesterday, still now solid word on when and if he would join the rotation.
