I'm not banking on Freel. I have him and I'm worried. He has said that his "turf toe" is really a congenital issue having to do with the fact that his second toe is far larger than his big toe. It takes all the impact when he runs. He'll probably need off-season surgery. Hard to believe he'll be running like a rabbit. But who knows.

....that's all freel has to contribute his hustle and SBs if he can't run (and i am sure he will keep trying--he is a gamer) then drop him

Miguel Olivo has not recorded one steal this year. He was supposed to be the best catcher for steals this year after stealing 30 in the minors a couple years back. If he can somehow get his swing back, he could have a big second half and with the Mariners out of it- will have a green light. He could get a sneaky 8-10 if he plays like he can.

Khalil Greene's second half last season:
11 Homeruns, 35 rbi, .292 avg, 35 runs...all while missing the last month. He's starting to warmup lately, as is. Keep your eye on him .

any thoughts on ellison or everett?

Ellison is definitely a guy I'd be looking at. He draws some very favorable matchups in the 2nd half if the rotation stays the same, and has been very good. If he's a FA, I think you've got to make room on your roster for him.
