I say the victor is determined by the surroundings. If you locked them in a small room, Li might have a chance since the cheetah's power is in his speed. But if this is out on the Serengeti, Li's ed.

I took the cheetah in the end because I doubt the first scenario would ever happen.

I'm not so sure. I think it all comes down to reflexes. The cheetah will pounce and if Li can duck and punch/kick, I think he can win. That said if the cheetah gets his teeth into him it is over.
