Doesn't make a difference really... They're both top prospects who will probably be stars in the near future. I wouldn't make too much of him hyping a young player, especially Delmon...

carter, u see felix's line last night?

4IP 0H 0R 2BB 7K

just wondering if u still think Duke will be better...that was most likely his last start in the minors, so we'll be able to compare the two more easily at a similar level.

Duke can't carry Felix's jock. Felix is probably a better pitcher already.

Well looks like Delmon won't get the call unless something unexpected happens:

According to the Tampa Tribune, not only is it unlikely that Delmon Young will be a starter for the Devil Rays at some point this season, he may begin next season in the minors as well.
''We just want to make sure we bring him up at the right time,'' general manager Chuck LaMar said. ''Could he play in the major leagues right now? I don't think there's any question about that, with his makeup, with his work ethic, with his instincts and exposure to the game. I've just got to make real sure that we're not hurting his overall development.'' Jul. 31 - 10:20 am et

yes he is their longterm SS... he has a slick glove and a decent bat... hopefully a 260 or 270 bat will do him in the future

You sure? They have a glut of SSs, though it's doubtful they'll all stay at the position. Tuiasosospo, obviously, looks to move to the corner, or maybe the outfield, perhaps. Adam Jones is crushing the ball at AA in 32 games with a .316 BA, although he has eight errors. Asdrubal Cabrera has a slick glove, too. Personally, I like Jones a lot. If he doesn't go back to the mound, his arm would be incredible at short.

And yes, Felix blows Duke out of the water.
