Burnett to Toronto?

i wouldn't package Chacin with Rios because he shows great promise in the future..but how bout russ adams what do you guys think of him...id rather have aaron hill playing SS and i dont think they should trade hudson hes a potential Gold Glover and his bat seems to be coming around..or the could trade Hinske that underachieving <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif> ...but i dont think the marlins would want his contract

Ricciardi has stated many times that Russ Adams is going to be the future of this team at SS, and that he isn't going anywhere, and that he will remain at SS without changing positions.

That may not be what Jays fans want, but it isn't up to us to decide...

i dont know much about the jays but give em o dog and chacin maybe, o dog doesnt have a very big contract atm, tho hell likely get paid more when on teh mets. But im thinking that hudson could play ss, since i dont really understand why anyone would want anyone by the name of Alex Gonzalez playing ss for them. O wait the jays did and he sucked then and sucks today. and the other a Gonzalez sucks too.

I'm not exactly sure how Orlando Hudson getting payed more on the Mets got involved in a "Burnett to Toronto" thread, but you mentioned it for some reason.

I think you are also confused over which Alex Gonzalez is actually in Florida. The Alex Gonzalez on the Florida Marlins has never played a day in his life for the Toronto Blue Jays. Maybe you mean the guy who's playing in Tampa Bay right now? I'm not sure..

I'm not exactly sure what Alex Gonzalez playing for the Toronto Blue Jays from 1997-2001 has to do with anything.

JP Riccardi on the radio this morning said that Toronto had dropped out of the running. The Marlins were insisting that Lowell be included in the deal - Lowell has $18 M left on his deal and we're not about to take on that kind of salary.

I'm not that upset that we missed out on Burnett, I just don't wanna see him an Oriole. I see where JP is coming from though, Lowell is expensive, he's not playing very well, and we would have no where to put him.
