Any reason why he can't win 8-10 games. Finishing at somewhere around 18-20 wins. His numbers don't indicate he's a first half pitcher either. Any thoughts?
since the top 10-15 pitchers years of 2-3 years ago (seemingly right before DK died), this is the most he's looked like that guy ... i like him for 18-20 (esp w/that team behind him)
It seems like I draft the guy every year hoping to see the flash of that 2001 guy, and this year maybe finally it. The Cardinals are great, and with Mulder in town and Carpenter healthy, he doesn't need to worry about being the ace. I see no reason why he can't win 18-20 with an ERA between 3.00-3.20. Tremendous value for a guy who went pretty late in most drafts.
The Cardinals should only get better, as Rolen, Edmonds, Walker, and the rest fully recover from injuries. That club has been banged up all year and still holds down first place. I don't see any reason why Morris wouldn't continue doing well.
Ive loved him as my suprise ace, pretty much, him myers and garcia have all been solid for me.
Morris has always been a player ill draft and I see no signs of him slowing down, if he wins 20 games keep in mind the first couple weeks he missed too with an injury, so it would be an even better accomplismnet[/i]
any ideas on really how valuable he might be trade wise? give up morris and delagao for johan? someone flirted that idea my way. If this derails, can somone PM? Frankly, I trust morris this year, which is why It actually might be worth declining.
