With only a couple weeks left until the trade deadline, what needs to happen in order for the Cubs to remain in the hunt? IMO, if they don't win their next two series (PIT & CIN) the need to serious sell off some deadline valuable parts.

Hollandsworth - won't get much in return, but can probably get a prospect for a solid PH that will help a team down the stretch
Rusch - again you won't get much, but he has value for ateam looking for a 5th starter or long relief late in the season and into the playoffs
Burnitz - he was brought in to help the team win now and since they are not, he needs to be unloaded and they can probably get decent value for a LH power hitter.

There are more, but these are the easiest choices in my mind.

The cubs aren't out of it yet. 5 games out is not out of reach. The Cubs are kinda like the yanks and they will never become sellers. They will continue to try and improve there team to win now.

I agree. I don't think the Cubs become sellers no matter what. Besides Burnitz is the only one they could get something decent for.

tehy won't sell. close enough to contend, but not far enough away to rebuild.

Cubs are in limbo land - they have the potential to rip off a winning streak or a losing streak at any time and either be right in the middle of theings, or way out... the problem is that by the time they figure out which it is, itll be end of august.
