I have Hudson and am starting him...I agree that you can't bench your studs, or you'll always kick yourself if something amazing happens (no hitter, perfect game, 4 HRs, cycle, etc).
Hudson is VERY close to top 10 even if you don't think he is actually in it...if he had run support his win totals would be higher than most of those guys though.
I personally think that with both Schilling and RJ down, Hudson is now top 5. TSN has the top 5 pitchers right now ranked as Pedro, Zito, Mulder, Hudson, Millwood.
Out of those, I'd say Hudson is definitely better than:
Moose (never seems to put together that Cy Young season everyone expects. Slumping badly right now.)
Morris (great, but I just view him as right below Hudson.)
Wood (has never even won 15 games)
Shmidt (Huh? Good, but he's not in this league. No way.)
Halladay (Not enough good years to match Hudson's value. But he may soon.)
Mulder (not as many strikeouts, seems to always have one inconsistent stretch each year, which he's in right now. Great pitcher, but not as good in fantasy because you need those K's.)
Vazquez (expos are an injury clinic right now. I just don't think they'll be able to hold up. He's nowhere near as proven as Hudson)
timkell like i said all those pitchers may not be as good as hudson (although i would take both wood and morris over him in a instant, and i live in sacramento) and as you have proved he maybe a top 10 starter. he is not a top 10 starter IMO though he is top 15. you made some good cases i just think hudson is not in the "start ever start except @Col" class yet.
You gotta be hurting for all the Kings' fans.
