I would have wanted one hitter at least, and taken either Stewart or Guzman in the 1st and been happy with Petit in the 2d, or Billinglsley in the 1st and Butler (I don't know who specifically who else was available) in the 2d and be happy either way, but you have two high quality prospects. ;-D

I took Wood with the 7th pick. I had planned on taking an outfielder with my second round pick, but with Petit sitting there, I couldn't help myself.

BTw, I have Wright and Blalock so I decided to pass on Guzman and Stewart. I shouldn't have passed on the talent but I don't think I could have gotten equal value when I had to trade someone down the road.

sorry, I missed the Wood pick.

I sort of did the same thing in my minor league draft, since I had Upton on my majors roster, I passed over , Guzman once (for Hamels), Ramirez and Drew thrice (Dopirak and A. Miller), Nelson and Wood (Bailey) 4 times. This was before Hamels broke his hand, glad to see it's finally paying off.
