24. Oil and Gas: Your Car Needs Both

I asked my wife yesterday to remember to gas up the car when she went out. When I got in the car later the fuel light was on. When I asked her about it later she said that she tried but that she couldn't get the tank opened (it's funny because it has a latch but it doesn't pop open, you have to push on one side of it). Then it hit me....we've had this car for over a year and she hasn't put gas in it even once.

24. Oil and Gas: Your Car Needs Both

That reminds me of another moment involving gas and female intelligence. I was stopped at an intersection with this girl I'm seeing the other day and across the street is this huge Texaco station. I look at the huge sign with the gas prices and had the following exchange...

Me: $2.60 a gallon for regular? Maybe these guys didn't get the memo that Oil was down $2 today.

Her: (Squinting and clearly perplexed) How can you read the gas prices from here?

Me: (Pointing to the 300'/200' sign in plain sight) They're right there

Her: Oh, I didn't see that, I was looking at the pumps.

Yikes.

these are definitely my favorite 3... my wife does not know that gas pumps exist,,,, if the red light comes on in her truck, she will just drive mine til i fill hers up......

but i do give her credit for being a clean freak,,,case in point.. we had a party july 4th,,, and once she got off of work about 2 hours before the party started,,, she went into a rant about how "dirty" the house was, and then started house cleaning 101 for the next 20 minutes..... the only thing was when she finished cleaning, i nor her brother could even tell that the house was even cleaner,,, because it is always clean.....
