when's he coming back. im in the middle of the pack of steals and i have plenty of power with teix,hafner,sheff,anderson. is he coming back soon and what should we expect

We keep hearing conflicting return dates for Freel so his rehab must not be going well. Barring that, he will probably not be running full speed or stealing bases for probably the first week or two after he is activated.

After that, we should see more of the same prior to his injury.

Last report I saw was at least a week ago; said he did a workout running sprints full-out and felt fine, no problems ...
Then the next day woke up with soreness. A 'setback', if you will.

Seen nothing since.

Ryan Freel (toe) is going to start his rehab assignment soon, but we probably won't know when until tomorrow.
One thing is clear, and that's the fact he's going to definitely spend some time in the minors recovering from his turf toe injury. He was pain free on Monday, but hasn't gone through rigorous workouts yet, and hasn't played since June 18th. Jul. 13 - 10:58 am et
