I'm in a dynasty league where we have 5 Minor League players, one of my players is Jeremy Hermida. A team is asking for him and offered up Mike Maroth for him, how good is this kid suppose to be??? I know he's a 5 tool player in AA but is he for real?

I have Myers, Oswalt, Smoltz, Zito, Maddux and Garland as my SP and we can only start 5 SP. Maroth would just be a guy to start if he had 2 starts in a week and such, is that worth giving up Hermida for him???

That offer is a joke. You'd be doing your team a disservice if you made that deal. Don't poison your pitching staff with Maroth and mortgage your future. Hermida is a bigtime prospect and should be one of your future regulars. Hold on to him.

Ok I really don't know Minor league values in dynasty leagues, I'm glad that topic popped up today actually. To me they're just a name on your bench that doesn't help out your team. I mean they might help you in 3 years but thats 3 years away. Anywhos, looking at his team, what player should I ask for in return for Hermida, trying to make a push right now and this owner really likes him.

Higher... Hermeida's ceiling is way higher than alot of solid pitchers now, but Lowe is better than Maroth, who should probably be a free agent anyway. If you can get a guy that can definitely help you this year, I'd say go for it, but if not - keep Hermeida.

I would keep Hermida...the only pitcher I'd take for him from his team is Cain. So if you want immediate help, I would look elsewhere. But if you want a solid productive player in 3 years, stay put.
