Okay so now we are finally at the All star break, lets get an update on how your bets/predictions are travelling!

So far the prediction i have had in my sig has been up and down all season, but at the moment I think it is fair to say that Danny Haren has pitched better than Mark Mulder, and for a tad of the pricetag aswell. However lately Haren hasn't been pitching so well, and Mulder has improved.....so this one could go either way.

As for my other prediction, I took the Marlins to win the world series in the preseason competition that is being run in the cafe. Right now it looks like I'm going to be flashing someone's sig for the offseason. :,-(

Particularly if the Marlins become sellers and deal Burnett.

In the AL, I had the Yanks winning the East, Indians winning the Central, Angels the West and the Red Sox winning the Wildcard with ARod, Manny, and Hafner (In that order) in the MVP race with RJ, Santana, and KRod (In that order) :-o

for the Cy young with Teixeira winning the Homerun Crown and Ichiro for the Batting Title.

In the NL, I had the Braves winning the East, the Cards winning the Central, Giants in the West (Before Barry got hurt) :-o

, and the Marlins winning the Wild Card with Pujols, Cabrera, Thome :-o

for MVP with Schmidt :-o

, Pedro, and Smoltz winning the Cy Young with Thome for the Homerun Crown and Pujols winning the batting title.

I had Yanks over Marlins for the series.

I'd say other than Teixeira for the Homerun Crown and Hafner 3rd for MVP my predictions have been either obvious or complete garbage.

my prediction that beltran & rj were going to be underwhelming draft choices... i'll take those. that helton would continue to be a god... not so much. (even with his recent surge).

I only remember the good ones, so my White Sox winning the division prediction looks pretty good. But the rest? Garbage.

Bets at the Cafe:
Cards to win the WS

Bets with my brother:
Yadier to hit over .240 (he was hitting .180 when the bet was made)
The field vs. Santana for AL Cy Young (pre-season but c'mon how could I not take the field)

Bets at work:
Cards will finish with more of a lead in the NL Central than last year (13 games)

Great pick. I actually filled out that Yahoo front Office Contest with the White Sox as the team who made the most favorable off season acquisitions but didn't think they would turn out this good... I'm still waiting for a reply from the Giants personnel department.

Matt Clement improving going from Cubs to Red Sox...check
Gary Sheffield a slightly better fantasy player than Manny Ramirez...too close to call
Aramis Ramirez an MVP-type season...derailed early by injury

1st place in all 3 of my leagues...priceless
