Reggie Sanders

This guy really needs his own thread. He's got a good shot at 30-20, maybe even 30-30 at age 38 which is pretty amazing. Does anybody know when larosa sits him? I know he likes to rest Walker every 3rd/4th day, is it the same for Reggie?

There is no set rule as to when Tony will sit Sanders. Some weeks he sits on Saturdays, some weeks it is Sundays. There is no set pattern that I can find.

Come to think of it, this is La Russsa, I would gamble that even he does not know who is starting until he sits down and makes that lineup card. I imagine a lot of the decision depends on how Reggie is feeling for the day ...

If any of our esteemed Cardinal fans have anymore on this, maybe they see a pattern or something; I would love to hear it.

You pretty much got it, wr. There really is no set pattern as to when certain guys sit, though looking at the matchups may give you a little bit of insight (as LaRussa does), but probably not enough to make lineup decisions with any certainty. It is also heavily weighted on how the player feels going into the game, so unless you can call Reggie or Larry or someone up and check, you're probably outta luck there too.
