Any news on the severity of the injury?

Even Rotoword, who normally are quick on the ball, are not saying anything about it...

From Yahoo game recap:

Milwaukee added a run in the ninth on an RBI double by Bill Hall off Chris Reitsma, who left the game when the next hitter, J.J. Hardy, hit a liner into his lower rib area. Reitsma recovered and threw out Hardy. X-rays taken of Reitsma were negative.

So far so good...

Reitsma left Sunday's game in the ninth inning after he was hit by a liner into his lower rib area, the Associated Press reports.

X-rays taken of Reitsma's ribs were negative and he is considered day-to-day.

From Rotoworld this morning:

Chris Reitsma left Sunday's game after being hit in the ribs by a line drive.
He was able to pick up the ball and make the out at first, but he left the game immediately. He was in a great deal of pain and we wouldn't be surprised if he broke a rib or two, although initial x-rays were negative. More news to follow on Monday. ''It's no fun getting hit [by a ball going] 100 miles per hour,'' he said. ''It knocks your breath out. I thought I heard a pop. I thought I heard a break.'' The Braves still think he may have broked some ribs, and if he's out, we're guessing (gulp) that Danny Kolb will start trying to close games again for Atlanta. Jul. 11 - 1:10 am et

We'll wait and see... :-o

Reitsma reported an improvement in his lower rib area where he was hit by a pitch on Sunday, the team's official web site reports.

He could return as early as this weekend.
