Why no love for Choi, he's a more powerful hitter than half the guys on that list...
Because the only reason he is in it is due to no one better from a different country. Pudge at least is an all-star and it's in front of his home town crowd. Who are these hitters besides Pudge that Choi is a better power hitter then?
With the exception of Ortiz and maybe Teixeira, he's probably the most
powerful hitter in that lineup. He's not the best hitter or the best power hitter, but he's easily got more raw power than Pudge, Bay, Jones and Abreu. His numbers don't show it cause he's not a fully developed hitter yet, but I really like his chances in a HR derby setting...

The fact is he is a platoon player that was a last option and isn't in the top hitters when it comes to power, there are plenty of guys that have just as much power and quite a few that have more.
Yeah, he probably doesn't belong there, but that doesn't mean he can't win it. He's got a great eye and tremendous power. I think it would be great if he won it!

Ichiro declined the invitation.

I predict I'll be so drunk by the 2nd or 3rd round that I'll be doing Chris Berman impersonations at the top of my lungs in front of the whole bar.
