18 team KEEPER 5X5 roto league (R, HR, RBI, SB, BA : ERA, WHIP, W, S, K)

I started the first 4 week in the Top 3, but all of the sudden I've dropped as low as 15th place... I'm currently out of 1st place by a whopping 30 category points...

Injuries and slumps played a big roll in my own slump, but after a few returns from injuries and a few trades, I am starting to pick things up...

Now I'm asking you to evaluate my team and tell me if I should be okay and if my team is capable of having a great 2nd half...

Otherwise, what kind of trades can I do to improve?

My Lineup (reserves in brackets)

C - Schneider (Y. Molina)
1B - Ward (Craig Wilson)
2B - Soriano
3B - Bill Hall
SS - Renteria
OF - Brady Clark (Bonds)
OF - Guerrero (Repko)
OF - Sheffield
U - Trot Nixon
U - Rickie Weeks
P - Arroyo (Hampton)
P - Hermanson
P - Marquis
P - Oswalt
P - Ryan
P - Sabathia
P - C. Zambrano

Thanks!

How do you stand in the hitting categories vs. the pitching categories? I'm guessing you're doing better in hitting.

It would be nice if you could upgrade at C. But if Y. Molina's hand is OK, he could have a nice 2nd half for you. He'd been hitting pretty well lately before the injury, so keep looking for updates on his condition, and play him over Schneider once he comes back. If you aren't required to play 2 C's, I'd consider dropping Schneider (once Molina returns).

SB's and Sv's are the easiest categories to move up quickly in. I'm guessing you're doing OK in Saves with Ryan & Hermanson. Without seeing your standings, I'm thinking you should try to focus on SB's. With 18 teams, there are probably few SB's to be had on your waiver wire.

See if any one team has a huge lead in SB's. If so, try to work a trade with that team for an SB guy.

Good luck to you.
