i heard the act was easier than the sat. i don't think it was in terms of difficulty of the material, but in terms of what's on it, time, etc. i'm sure there's no big difference in difficulty though.
I took the ACT once, got a 28 and that was good enough to get into the schools I was looking at. I pretty much just showed up and took the test. I don't get theses people who spend all this money on classes and books and stuff, that just seems crazy.
FWIW, I think they've really changed both the ACT and SAT a lot in the last couple years, so I'm not sure how comprable some of the older scores are.

I never got the crazy classes for mucho dinero either. Most of the kids I went to high school with who paid all that money for the Princeton Review, etc, didnt score any higher than they would have otherwise. And some of the highest-scoring kids did what you did, just took it once. As for myself, I took the SATs once, completely hungover after 4 hours of sleep, and got a 1510 (out of 1600). I think some people are just better at standardized tests than others, since I was a piss-poor student.
