Roy Halladay left the game in the bottom of the third inning after being hit by batted ball in the shin.

Apparently Mench lined one off his shin. Some of the Jays fans in the other forum said he fell right away but eventually was helped off the field.

MWeir said he wouldn't be surprised if he broke the bone. :-o

Yeah, it looked like a real stinger.

Come backer from Mench I believe. He fell suddenly but got back up but they helped him off the field, hopefully it's not so serious. All the best Mr. Halladay :-/

I really wouldn't be suprised if it was a broken bone either, but I'm going to be optimistic and think it's just a bone bruise.

He obviously was in a great amount of pain, Halladay is a tough guy, but this comebacker brough him down. Chances are he doesn't pitch this Tuesday in the All-Star game, so you could see Clement get the call.

Hopefully he's alright.. :-/

Expect Clement to be an All-Star.

All the best to Roy. He's always been a favorite of mine ;-D

I'd be thrilled to have Clement on the AS team but not at the expense of Doc and not like this :-/

I doubt it was broken since he walked off the field putting his full weight on it. Its probably just a bone bruise. They'll ice it for 48 hours and he will most likely only miss 1 start because of the allstar break.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

You own Halladay?

A classy post nonetheless.

I wish Roy all the best; I've heard nothing but good things about him ;-D

Yes I own Halladay but to be honest, I'd rather Clement make the team because someone pulls out than someone getting hurt.
