Coping w/ loss of Unit, Need suggestions

10 team mixed H2H Fantasy points league.

Well, my draft plan relied on Unit to carry my pitching staff so that I could assemble a top notch offense. Offense is performing, but I'm lacking in pitching. H2H league, I'm 6-4, only one game off the lead. My roster's looking like so:

DL - Unit

I was kinda hoping I'd have RJ back by now, but I'm screwed for a while it looks like. Do I sell off some hitting for a stud or two, or can I make it another month with these clowns? Garcia's looking good lately, Meche looks great, Lawrence just missed 3 complete games in a row, Lidle should be better in the second half, Zambrano is solid, Schmidtty's a stud, ok Weaver sucks and I'm probaly dropping him.

Thoughts? Ideas?

you should be able to package up one of your SPs with Payton or Burrell for a nice starter..

that won't upset your strategy and buy you some time

try to trade burell and meche for Prior

I think you can get by without giving up any of your good bats.

Like you said, Weaver isn't very useful now that he's no longer in the rotation: I'd suggest dropping him in lieu of another pitcher.

I also have Randy Johnson. I say wait. He should return within two weeks. Luckily I also have Schmidt, Millwood and Miller who is starting to pitch like he can.

I think you could package Lidle and Burrel and get a stud Pitcher for sure. Lidle's stock is high right now with 9 wins. His ERA is sky high over 5.00 so you know he will begin to lose some games when Torontos offense cools off. Meche is too good to deal away, he is someone you want to have as a quality 3rd starter. Remember he was once considered the future ace of the Mariners before he had arm troubles. Now he is back living up to that bill. Good luck with your deals.
