It would be funny to see him in a homerun derby, because he is already running towards first base on his swing... I wonder if he would change it a little, or just take a few steps towards first base on each swing... lol :-?

USA - Mark Texeira
Curacao - A.Jones
Dominican Republic - David Ortiz
Venezuela - Bobby Abreu
Canada - Jason Bay
Panama - Carlos Lee
Puerto Rico - Ivan Rodriguez
South Korea - Hee Seop Choi 8-o

South Korea and Japan are obviously two different countries. Why can't Ichiro and Choi be in it. There are more japanese players than korean players anyway.

If we need a foreigner for the HR derby why not Chan Ho Park? He can throw to the other 7 contestants :-b

Did they ask Matsui? If not, they should've over Choi. Maybe neither are all-stars, but Matsui is more deserved than Hee Seop, a guy who's accomplished next to nothing.

My first preference is to have 100% all-stars though. I don't like the idea of non-allstars in the derby.

if they cant get an asian dude in the all-star game to do it then they should find a way to get matsui in. at least invite him over choi :-P
