Hurt has been pleading for three years to play the field. Hopefully Frank's torrid hitting in interleague play, plus Konerko's struggles, will finally convince Manuel.

In his career, Thomas has hit .337/.453/.623 as a 1B, and .284/.407/.502 as a DH.

In his last big year, 2000, Hurt hit .354/.432/.761 as a 1B, and .321/.436/.587 as a DH.

If those two guys are on the wire in a 12 team league, no telling what else may be there. I'd look at it closely and see if you can catch your league mates snoozing again.
