Ching-Lung Hu is a AA-level SS prospect in the dogers system who i had the pleasure of seeing last night. he went 4-5 with a bunch of singles and let me tell you, this kid's got jets. his first hit was a very nice bunt single, and he showed his speed on the bases throughout the day.
anyhow, i was just curious if he was on anyone's radar. i mean, is his a high-level prospect or anything? any of you prospect fiends heard him?
thanks.
EDIT: apperantly, he's also listed among the top defensive infielders in the dodgers' system.

BA rated him as the #13 prospect in the Dodgers system just ahead of Dioner Navarro. And I would think that he has done nothing to move down on that list this year. He is a VERY good defensive SS and his only question mark is his bat. He will probably only hit for average power, but at 5'9", 150 that would be quite good. Makes very good contact, but doesn't walk a lot. looks like a guy that could hit .285 with 15 HRs and steal 20-30 bags, which would be quite good. At High A so far this year, he's hit .281-48-7-38-11. He is a couple years away. I'd put an ETA of 2007 on him.

thanks.
juding from his performance yesterday, your description fits. his bat had a little pop, but he seemed to mainly do things with his speed. sadly, defensive SS prospects have little use in fantasy ball.

yeah, another asian! my girl is korean and i like asian players. i think i'll try to follow his progression but if you say he's a defensive SS, he'll don't have a lot of value.
Ok, don't get me wrong. He is definitely a great defensive player, but don't let that mean that that is all he will be able to do. Many great defensive players can hit. He will probably max out at about .285 20 Hrs and 20 SBs... but that is VERY good for a SS.
