Who do you think has the most favorable matchups for these two start pitchers next week?
John Thomson - NYM (Steve Traschel) and FLA (Mark Redman)
Kyle Snyder - AZ (Elmer Dessens) and SF (Jerome Williams)
Jerome Williams - @CHW (Jon Garland) and @KC (Kyle Snyder)
Vicente Padilla - @ANA (Jarrod Washburn) and @CIN (Paul Wilson)
Jon Garland - SF (Jerome Williams) and SD (Brian Lawrence)
Pat Hentgen - CHC (Shawn Estes) and MIL (Ben Sheets)

Out of that list, the only one that is decent is Padilla, and he has two unfavorable matchups this week, so he's not great for a spot starter but would be a good long term addition. I wouldn't touch any of the rest of them with a ten foot pole, because they are all just too inconsistent. It's not worth getting two starts out of a pitcher if they are likely to torch your ERA or WHIP, which any of these guys can do on any given day.

Where do you get your starting pitcher info so far in advance? I use espn, but they only go out 3 days.

I paid the $20 at the beginning of the year for the Sporting News fantasy updates. They give you starting pitchers about two weeks into the future, although they do change regularly.

I also spent that $20 and it's been VERY much worth it...especially for the player analyzer...
however, after looking around I can tell you that the Rototimes has something similar and almost as effective...
Rototimes seems to have better news and at least they respond to me when I send them an email...I am a paying customer at TSN and they haven't responded to ANY of the 3 emails I have sent in the last 2 months.
