He's injured right now, if the Cubs are going to keep the young guys up the rest of the year though I exepct him to get called up when he's back healthy.

Anyways I'm excited to see what Greenberg and especially Murton can do at the Major league level. Hopefully Corey getting sent down will help him out and get him playing like he has the potential to. I think a trade is coming soon though.

I've got a bet going that Corey won't go 30-30 this year.

Looking pretty good right now. ;-D

As a cubs fan, I would have never guessed his terrible stugggles. I actually thought he'd have a break out season. One of my few complete wrongs...along with Thome and Mota.

I would assume this has to kill all of the Patterson trade rumors. His value has been in steady decline all season, but sending him to the minors had to knock it down quite bit more. If they were contemplating trading him, I think Hendry would have kept in The Show until a deal was complete.

Pie is hurt, should start playing in the minors within a couple weeks.

I think Dubois was sent down for his defense. He was just terrible. Had no clue whenever he had to go back for a ball, and always stopped well short of the wall while the ball would drop 5 feet in front of the wall for a double.

I think it will belp his trade value. Maybe he'll finally look like half an athlete playing against the kiddies.

It's OK, I understand what you guys are going through. I too am a recovering Patterson addict. I reached the final step today and kicked my habit. Just look at his stats, especially for the last month. keep looking at how he was batting about .280 at the end of may and now he's 50 points lower at .230. Then read this (This news update is my anti-drug):

Jul 8 The Cubs optioned outfielder Corey Patterson to Triple-A Iowa after Thursday night's game against the Braves. He is in the middle of a 3-for-29 slump.
Views: Patterson has been a big disappointment all season, but Thursday's demotion is a new low. Fantasy owners should cut all ties with him immediately. Jerry Hairston will see most of the time in center field until Patterson gets his act together and returns to the Windy City.

Good luck and be strong recovering brothers.

Ugh, what a bust hes been. Hes never been the same after his knee injury in 2003. He was having a great season until then, and its never been like that again. :,-(
