Brandon Webb is back

I like this kid...first game back (much needed for the injury plagued D-backs) from the DL, so far against Cleveland today:

7 IP, 7 K's, 2.57 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP

Granted, it is against the Indians, but he's done well so far:



I know he's a rookie and he'll have his ups and downs once teams get to scout him a bit more, but PHI had two games against him and he did well for both...here's hoping for more good games to come

I like Webb a lot - people on this board keep complaining that he's unproven (but then those same people rush out to add Dontrelle Willis to their team), so for those of us who want to give him a chance, he's been putting up some nice numbers

They are both solid pitchers. I have both and started Webb off the DL. Willis may have the 'big arm' and get the K's, but Webb already has one of baseballs best sinkers.

...and we all can use a guy who can get a W with an ERA under 3. Webb and Willis are both keys to my title run.
