am i correct in saying that the best two prospects in baseball are felix hernandez and delmon young? if so, where does bj upton and rickie weeks stack up? or, are they all about equal?
Well technically B.J. Upton is no longer considered a prospect (to many AB's) and most thought Weeks was a top 10 prospect coming into the year despite not living up to his potential in AA. After what he has done this year, I'd say most would put him right behind Felix/Delmon.
delmon young and felix hernandez are heads above everybody else right now... justin upton has the ability to be as good as young is, but has to show some of it first.....
Justin Upton is a very, very good prospect. If he lives up to his potential, he can be as good as Young and Hernandez, but better? That's highly debateable. Young is one of the best offensive prospects to come around in years and Hernandez is drawing comparisons to Dwight Gooden. Let Upton play a game first before putting all this unecessary pressure on him.

Upton has drawn comparisons to Ken Griffey Jr.
So, yes, his upside his higher than Delmon Young if you can believe it.

The chances of him ever being close to the player Griffey is are slim and none. Griffey is a once in a millineum player who arguably would of gone down as one of the top 5 greatest players of all-time if not for injuries. Certainly would have shattered the HR record. Upton has good power potential, but Young has more, and I don't think he'll ever hit 56 HRs in a season like Griffey, but we'll see. Justin is a slightly better version of his brother, B.J., and Young is a better prospect than B.J.
FWIW, cbssportsline recently said Delmon Young was the best teenage prospect since Ken Griffey, Jr., and I don't believe that. Anyone can make the Griffey comparison, heck, even Cameron Maybin was compared to him. The chances of Upton, or even Young, being as good as Griffey are very, very slim.
