Can you believe what he's doing? Last year he hit .233 with only 11HR. This year he's hitting over .300 and hast already knocked in 17HR. What a turnaround!

He lost a lot of weight during the offseason. That could be a reason why he's been hitting so well....

That and its contract year. Maybe the Braves should sign him to one year deals every year. Javy used to be a huge part of the Braves offense. Last couple years that hasnt been so. Now that Javy is back to his old self the Braves have a pretty well stacked lineup top to bottom. And Mr.Sheff in the middle of all that. This could be our year!

I read an article about 3-4 weeks ago, Talking about how the Braves were very happy with Estrada, you remember him? The guy they traded Millwood for? Anyways, the gist of the article was that this was a contract year for Javy and the Braves were looking to shop him and go with Estrada. It also said that they needed to do this before the trading deadline because Javy was going to become 10-5 guy and would be able to veto a trade .. He would get his 10-5 elig. before the deadline. Look's like he is going to force their hand. No way they can trade him now. And then I realized, he is only a couple years removed from the top 3 at his position ... Well After reading the article I went and picked him up off the wire .. :-)

nothing but smiles now .. actually its a big shit eating grin :-)

This is what I have gotten from him since I picked him up May 18th ..
12 runs 8 hr 12 rbi's and a .457 BA ... from a C?? I'll take it anyday .. and I think ye went deep again today ..
